First: Otakon is this Friday - Sunday (Aug 10-12). I'm on staff this year, and have created a room called Club Otaku e.g. JAMSPACE. We're throwing down keyboards, guitars, bass, drums, mics, and other stuff and letting anyone play. The plan is that, like last time we ran this room at Magfest, the room will be a gigantic videogame and anime music jam. BE THERE.
NEXT WEEKEND, is the incredible 32 BIT GEN, a huge videogame rock music and art show put on by my good friends Chris Baines and JD from local Baltimore videogame music band Entertainment System. (Chris and JD are also in the band Rare Candy along with myself and Matt Baros)
This goes down Next Saturday, Aug 16th, from 5PM-1AM. 32 BIT GEN features a gigantic lineup of videogame music bands and a huge art show, a full bar for those over 21, and 10 TV's worth of videogames in the concert hall. I will be there, you should too, it's going to be incredible.
If you're planning on going, look me up beforehand so that I may congratulate you on your wise choices in life.
